This semester I worked as a class manager and I worked with the job shop. When the class managers group got together, I took most of the responsibility of assigning the tasks to people. I had to take a leadership role and get people started on their jobs. The other class managers somewhat helped me, but they would go off and do a job and leave me assigning task, or when I asked them to help me, they said they didn't know what to do. So I started to assign people jobs myself. I feel I was successful in performing my class manager task, I always tried to get everyone started and jobs and not wandering the halls. But I couldn't do it alone, so Bram and I decided that each class manager would take a certain day of the week and assign jobs to the rest of the class. When we started doing our class manager tasks this way, I feel we were successful because of the leadership skills we attained and used and the communication we had with the other students to get them to do their jobs. The category of communication also made us unsuccessful when we began because students were just getting up and leaving the class and we weren't communicating with them, and they weren't coming up to us for jobs. But I feel we improved as the course went on and my job as a class manager got better because I began to communicate better with my the other class managers and the students. I also became a better leader and I put a lot of effort into my role.
Another task I performed this semester was Job Shop. This ties directly with my class manager task. I had to long into the job shop different tasks teachers wanted completed on their computers. Then I had to long on to First Class everyday and check the job shop task and assign jobs to students . I also had to do some tasks myself or teach and supervise other students do their task. I feel I did this well. I went around and fixed different computer problems teachers were having. I installed software for teachers. I showed other students how to install software, make copies of software, and then I supervised them to see if they learned how to do it and were successful. Sometimes when I didn't have a job to do because they were all taken, I tried to make a job for myself like cleaning out the closet, making copies of different software, configuring software, installing hardware or even scraping labels off the floors. I tried to do a good job completing all my task and helping others complete their tasks. This semester I tried to fulfill all my goals and I feel I did so and I tried to the best I could at completing these goals.
