During this semester in the Technology class, I had learned a lot, and I also missed the chances of what I really wanted to learn. However, sum up everything together, I felt I had accomplished most of the work that I have to do for this class, and I did not have the chances to do the things that I wanted to do, such as fix computers.
I was expected to learn how to fix computers, and the basic build up of the computer. However, I was been assigned on doing the HyperCard programming. During the entire semester, I spent most of the time on Using the HyperCard creating a D&D game. I learned a lot on how to use the HyperCard program, such as using the scripts, understand the way HyperCard works, and what it could do. I worked it all out with Bram, he helped me on a lot of the scripts. We talked a lot on how the game should look like, and how it should be. The game would turned out very well if we have enough time to do every single pieces. We did the hard part, which is the scripting. It may seem to others that nothing had accomplished, but actually a lot of it had been completed. My goal was to complete it with graphics, different stages, and all the necessary scenes that needed for a game.
During this semester, I also participated in the Cyberlibrarian, which responsible for finding information on the net for teachers and students. This had turned out not that great, it was not my specialty. I had some problem on the communication parts, and the skills. I have great problem on doing the Cyberlibrarian thing, one main problem was responsibilities. I can't keep up with all those needs.
I also did some Installing Software, I like it a lot. I learned some good stuff how to install software. I also like to install software, it is fun. It is close to fixing a computer, because sometimes it would have some small problem with the computer or the software, and you have figured it out how to fix it.
I installed few batteries and switched some ink cartridges. I also learned a lot from doing those. When I installing the battery, I could see the inside build up of the computer. When I replace the ink cartridge, I learned that you have to pull a white plastic tape out in order to use it. All those thing may not that important, but when I ask many people when I have problems, they always gave the no answer. I have to learn about how to fix small problems in order to solve the big problem.
